As a lifelong city resident, Redding has an understanding of the ins and outs of city business: “The top issue,” she said, “is balancing the needs versus the budget — the assets we have available.”

Redding is very supportive of the city's ongoing work to revitalize downtown, including the Sunset Theatre project, Summer Concert Series and other arts and entertainment opportunities now available to city residents. She is a member of Central United Methodist Church and has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Randolph County Senior Adults Association and Family Crisis Center.
